Protestant Program Nine Days

Day 1 :

Arrival to Ben gurion Airport – meet and assist by our representative – then onto Tel aviv for dinner and overnight

Day 2 :  Tiberias – Sea of Galilee – Mt. Beatitudes – Nazareth – Capernaum – Tabgha– St. Peter’s Primacy – Jordan River – Tiberias

 

After Breakfast, visit Mt. of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place. On to Sea of Galilee for a boat ride. Visit Nazareth. Visit also St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Proceed to Capernaum where Jesus mostly taught and on to Tabgha. Visit St. Peter’s Primacy Church. Proceed to Yardenit, where traditionally, Jesus was baptized. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3 :  Golan Heights – Banias – Ceasarea Philipi – Tel Dan – Hazor – Ein Harod

After breakfast, We will pass by Golan Heights, then proceed to Banias, the site of ancient Ceasarea Philipi, where Jesus demanded to know of his disciples who people were saying He was. Then proceed to Tel Dan, where you will see the sacred precinct built by Ahab, then continue the journey to the great city of Hazor, it is where Joshua’s great victory over the Canaanites and has become the symbol of the victory of the weak over the powerful and last, proceed to Ein Harod, situated in the Jezreel Valley near Mt. Gilboa in northern Israel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 :  Cana – Mt. Carmel – Haifa – Ceasarea – Jaffa – Jerusalem

 

After breakfast, visit Cana, where Jesus made his first miracle, turning the water into wine. Afterwards, you shall visit Haifa, to Stella Maris where one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Mediterranean. Drive down to Caesarea, which was built by Herod the Great to catch sight of the Aqueducts and the Roman Theater. This is where St. Paul was imprisoned. Proceed to Jaffa and visit the city where Jonah set sail on. Also, visit the House of Simon the Tanner. Move on to Jerusalem for e Mount of Olives to visit the Ascension Chapel where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Visit the Church of Pater Noster to witness the “Lord’s Prayer’ written in several languages. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5 : Ein Karem – Bethlehem – Mt. Zion

After breakfast, We will visit the Church of Nativity where Jesus was born. Then proceed to the Sheperds’ field where the star appeared to the sheperds which lead them to the manger where baby Jesus was born. Move on to Mount Scopus where you can have a sightseeing of the Old and New City of Jerusalem. Proceed to the church of Dominus Flevit (God Wept) where God wept over Jerusalem. You shall walk down the Palm Sunday Road. Back to Jerusalem for your overnight stay.

Day 6:  Jerusalem – Mt. Olives – Old City – Garden Tomb – Tunnel – City of David – Yad Vashem – Israel Museum

After breakfast visit Mount of Olives to visit the Ascension Chapel where Jesus ascended into Heaven. We will enter the Old City of Jerusalem through Herod’s Gate. Walk via Dolorosa starting at the Ecce Homo where Pontius Pilate washed his hands. Proceed to the Flagellation and through all the stations and reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where Jesus was crucified, died and rose from the dead. Visit the Western Wall, Pool of Bethesda and Western Wall, then proceed to the Garden Tomb. Afterwards, We wil continue the City of David, It is the oldest settled neighborhood of Jerusalem and a major archaeological site. It is where King David built his palace and established his capital. Then proceed to Yad Vashem, moving on to visit the Israel Museum. Dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 7 Temple institute , Yad HaShmona

 

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Temple Institute, where we will be able to see the preparations being done for the Third Temple.Have some private sessions with the group in Temple Institute. We will then drive west to Jerusalem, to the area of West Judean mountains, visiting Yad HaShmona Messianic Village, where we’ll be having a special Passover Meal. Local guide will give explanations, and will be happy to answer to questions. Later on, drive through Ella Valley (the place where David defeated Goliath). Drive back to Jerusalem for a New City Tour by bus, dinner and overnight.

 

Day 8:  Jericho – Qumran Massada

 

After breakfast, proceed to  Jericho. Get as close as possible to Mt. of Temptation, Get to see a Sycamore tree. Have a dip in the Dead Sea to try its curative powers. On to visit Qumran where the dead sea scrolls were found. Visit Massada and Enjoy the cable care to climb up to Herods Palaces – Visit Massada .

Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 : Departure From Ben gurion Airport
