7 DAYS / 6NIGHTS HOLYLAND ITINERARY

Day 1: Tel Aviv Arrival

Arrival at Ben GurionInternational Airport in Tel Aviv. Meet your guide after airport procedures.  Transfer to hotel for check-in, dinner andovernight.

Day 2: Tel Aviv – Jaffa – Haifa – Nazareth – Tiberias

Check-out from hotel afterbreakfast and drive to ancient Jaffa (NewTestament Joppa) where the Apostle Peter had a vision, whilst sitting on therooftop of the House of Simon the Tanner, and he received God’s command topreach the Gospel to the Gentiles. Our next stop is on Mt. Carmel we shallvisit the “Place of Sacrifice” the Prophet Elijah Avoiding repetitionof where: Our next stop is on Mt. Carmel to visit the “Place ofSacrifice” where the Prophet Elijah had an encounter with the Priests ofBaal (1 Kings 18:17-40). We drive on across the “Plain ofHarmageddon” to the town of Nazareth, a town in the hill country ofGalilee where Jesus grew to manhood (Matth. 2:23), and visit the Basilica ofthe Annunciation. Transfer to your hotel in Tiberias for check-in, dinner andovernight.

Day 3:  Cana – Mt. Tabor – Yardenit

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visitto Cana, the scene of the wedding feast, whereJesus turned the water into wine (Jon. 2:1-11). Continue to Mt. Tabor, theMount of the Transfiguration (Matth. 17:1-8). From the top of the Mount thereis a wonderful panoramic view which extends from Mt. Hermon in the north to thehills of Samaria in the south. Proceed to Yardenit at the Jordan Riverwhere Jesus was baptized by St. John the Baptist. Return to your hotel fordinner and overnight.

Day 4: Sea of Galilee – Capernaum – Tabga – Mt. Of Beatitudes

Check-out fromhotel after breakfast. Enjoy a morning tour around the Sea of Galilee which isrich in memories of Jesus’ ministry around its shores. We begin with a boatride across the Sea of Galilee. Then visit the ruins of Capernaum which inJesus’ time was a flourishing border town and was called “his owncity” because of the frequency with which Jesus visited it and the mightyworks he did there. Next we visit the Church of the Multiplication of theLoaves and Fishes and the Chapel of the Primacy at Tabgha. We stop for a whileon the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount (Matth. 5).Drive to Bethlehem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Mt. Zion – Ein Karem –Bethlehem

We start thisday with a visit to Mt. Zion where we shall stop to see the Upper Room, theTomb of King David and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu which is builtover the Palace of Caiaphas, the High Priest, who imprisoned Jesus andinterrogated him before his trial before Pontius Pilate (Lk. 22:54). Next weshall drive through the New City, passing the Knesset (Israel’s Parliamentbuilding), and on into the hill country to a “city of Juda” whichtoday is called Ein Karem. Here we shall visit the Church of the Visitation,which by tradition is built over the house of Zacharias, where the Virgin Marycame to visit her cousin Elisabeth (Lk. 1:39-80). Here John the Baptist, theforerunner of Christ, was born. A visit to the Yad Vashem memorial to thevictims of the holocaust is also on our program for this morning. Afternoondrive to Bethlehem, the royal city of David, to kneel at the place of the birthof Christ in the Grotto of the Nativity. We visit also the Shepherd’s Fieldwhere the Angel of the Lord appeared to the Sheperds. On that first ChristmasEve and announced the birth of the Saviour (Lk. 2: 8-18). Finally we drive pastRachel’s Tomb and return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Mt. Olives – Old City ofJerusalem

After breakfastthis day we shall start our pilgrimage in Jerusalem with a Drive to the top ofthe Mt. of Olives, from which Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection.From the top of the Mount there is a magnificent view over all of ancient andmodern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world. We visit the holy shrineson the Mount and walk on down the “Palm Sunday Road” visiting theChapel of Dominus Flevit (Jesus wept) enroute to the Garden of Gethsemane andthe Church of All Nations where Christ prayed on the night of his betrayal (Lk.22:40-46). Next we shall enter within the old Walled city of Jerusalem and walkin the footsteps of our Lord as he bore the burden of our sins to the Cross atGolgotha. We visit the Pools of Bethesda and walk on along the Via Dolorosa,following the 14 Stations of the Cross from Pilate’s Judgement Hall to theempty tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. After lunch we shall visit thelast standing remnant of the ancient Temple at the Western (Wailing) Wall andvisit some of the exciting Archeological sites in and around the Old City. Returnto our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Jericho – Qumran – DeadSea – Tel Aviv Departure

Check-out from hotel and proceedto Jericho, one of the oldest city in the world. View the Mt. of Temptation andstop at Jericho to see up close the famous sycamore tree. Continue to Qumran,where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Last stop will be a visit to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth and have anopportunity for a bathe in its mineral rich waters. Drive to Tel Aviv Airportto catch your flight back home
